• I received this book today and started reading and could not put it down until I finished it. As a flood survival, I only wish that I had this book when I was going through the ordeal of the last two major floods in the Houston area . This book will be a lifesaver to me and anyone who lives in areas prone to flooding. I only wish that it had come out sooner, but I am blessed to have it for future reference! I This book covers all the dues and don’ts of getting through a storm with minimal stress, anxiety and maintaining your sanity. I highly recommend this book!
• This book is comprehensive, practical, and surprisingly entertaining. Written by two Houstonians whose homes flooded during Hurricane Harvey, It covers everything from prevention to dealing with the aftermath (clean up, finding and securing FEMA and Red Cross $$, etc) to taking care of your emotional and mental health after a flood.
  
  The section on prevention alone is worth the price of the book. If you live in a flood zone - or anywhere near one (as Midwesterner and Texans are learning), you need this book. It will save and/or help you secure many times over the cost of the book.
